Instructions:
- Find a place to sit or lie down, whatever you prefer.
- Set a timer for 5 minutes.
- To do the deep breathing exercise,
- Close your mouth and inhale to a mental count of 4.
- Hold your breath for a count of 7.
- Exhale through your mouth to a count of 8.
- This is one breath. Inhale again and repeat the 4-7-8 cycle until the end of 5 minutes.
